California sentenced Jeff to 15 years-to-life in prison for second-degree murder. Under this mandatory sentencing scheme, Jeff was required to serve a minimum of ten years before being able to be considered for parole. Jeff was first elgible on April 29, 2003.
Jeff has appeared before the Board of Parole Hearings on November 18, 2002, May 23, 2005 and June 8, 2007. On each occasion Jeff was denied. His next parole hearing is scheduled for June, 2010 at the Corcoran Substance Abuse Treatment Facility where Jeff is a “Lifer Mentor” in the Walden House Substance Abuse Treatment Facility.
