Jeff is fortunate to have a Father-in-Law, Dr. Edward L. Lambert, and Mother-in-Law, Leila Lambert, who have treated him as a son and work tirelessly on his behalf. Jeff’s Father-in-law spearheads all of the efforts to seek parole for Jeff and can be reached at edleila@aol.com. Jeff also has tremendous support from Michelle’s sister and extended family. Jeff has a mother, Margaret; three brothers, George, Mark and Tony; two sisters, Ann( deceased) and Marie; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law; as well as many loving and wonderful nieces and nephews. Jeff is passionate in his desire to use his mistakes as a way to save lives. He is very active in prison, helping young men turn their lives around, leave gangs behind, learn how to read and write, learn basic math and life skills, and become productive members of society when they leave prison. There are innumerable success stories of young men whom Jeff has touched who otherwise would have thrown their lives away and continue a life of crime, drug and alcohol abuse. There are just as many, if not more, stories of people in communities around the world who testify to the same. Jeff will continue to carry this message when he is returned to society. His passion is to become heavily involved with at-risk teens and to educate everyone that he can on the dangers of drinking and driving. While in prison, he sponsors alcoholics across the country, authors articles and messages on the dangers of alcohol and drug abuse, assists in the development of curriculum for D.U.I. Programs, works as a Mentor Candidate in California Department of Correction’s premiere substance abuse program, Walden House at Corcoran State Prison, facilitates/teaches many psycho-education programs to prisoners including Alternatives to Violence, Anger Manager, Creative Conflict Resolutions, Domestic Violence Workshops, Substance Abuse Recognition Groups, Life Skills, Business classes, Morals and Values, Breaking Barriers and participates in the Executive Body of Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous. Jeff continues to improve literacy by becoming the prisons only certified Tutor Trainer for Pro-Literacy America/Laubach Literacy Program and has helped countless men obtain their G.E.D.’s and go to college. Jeff is constantly learning new ways in which to help others and society as a whole. By being involved with every positive program and attacking the troubling issues facing many, Jeff has become an asset to society from the other side of a prison fence. This tremendous accomplishment is a role model for everyone. Jeff continues to advance his academic education by taking courses on addiction and drug counseling. In addition, Jeff has completed seven vocational trades while imprisoned and plays guitar and writes songs in his spare time. When asked, Jeff indicates that he is always searching for ways to ameliorate the suffering he has brought to so many through service above self.
